The first platform on Liverpool's long gone Overhead Railway was just over the road from where I currently live by Seaforth Docks and ran all along the old dock road and through the city centre into Dingle. Although the overhead railway was demolished back in 1957 I've taken the walk along its old route a couple of times mainly just to photograph and soak up all the old buildings and history that is mainly still present along the dock road. Inspired by my wife's grandad telling me a lot of stories about his memories of the overhead railway I decided to start manipulating old photogaphs of the trains running along their old route by adding graffiti to them, but at the same time respectfully keeping an old-fashioned feel to the images.
